Error 403 “Invalid key” when accessing the service with the key obtained in the Developer Dashboard

If you've received this error, please try the following:

  • Check that the key was actually registered by you and for your site.

  • Check that you actually linked this key to the service you are trying to access.

  • Check that you entered your key correctly: does it include any spaces or extra characters?

  • For paid or pre-moderated API services, a contract for using the key must first be concluded or its use approved. Check your email: we always send a notice when creating such keys. In the detailed information about the key, you should see its activation steps.

  • Check that the key isn't blocked. To do this, select the key and its service. If the key was blocked by you, unblock it.

If the key was blocked by Yandex, eliminate the reason for the violation and write to us
